Who We Are
Watt-Our is a distributed energy storage startup based out of Princeton University. We work diligently with utilities, operators, and energy consumers to create powerful Virtual Power Plants which allow for unprecedented levels of control and flexibility over the grid.
Our mission is to address critical issues which face grid infrastructure in the face of expanding renewable electrification: leveraging modern technology to drive the clean energy transition.
What We Offer
At Watt-Our we use automated behind-the-meter energy storage systems to efficiently handle demand response (DR) events through the use of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs). With this approach, we are able to provide utilities with granular control and guaranteed load reduction without requiring action from energy consumers – creating robust grid flexibility with high levels of consumer participation.

Watt-Our uses lithium-ion batteries paired with advanced metering infrastructure to monitor, control, and provide the energy of consumers during DR events. With batteries, we eliminate hassle for both utilities and consumers by guaranteeing load reduction without consumers batting an eye.

Watt-Our funds the purchase and installation of all energy storage systems. This means that energy consumers won't sacrifice anything to take part in VPPs – creating high levels of participation. This allows us access to previously tedious consumer groups, such as residential energy consumption.
